It’s hard to believe it’s already been a full year since we set up in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire – and what a year it’s been! Everyone in the office has absolutely loved the move, and we’ve made some incredible progress both as a business and as part of the local community.
Learning and Development
One of our highlights this year has been connecting with ESTU, a brilliant learning provider. I (Neil) have had the opportunity to attend several insightful courses, gaining practical and impactful techniques that are helping to drive innovation at My Elements. These included the Film and Supply Chain programme, through which I earned a practitioner certificate, followed by the Customer and Leadership course. Both have been hugely beneficial in shaping our strategy moving forward.
Community and Connections
We’ve also joined key local networks such as the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce. It’s been fantastic meeting fellow businesses and like-minded professionals. The support, camaraderie, and collaboration we've experienced have been second to none, and we’re excited to keep growing these relationships in the coming year.
New Equipment, New Possibilities
Another big milestone this year was the introduction of Violet, our UV printer. This amazing bit of kit has already started helping us expand our service offerings and better meet the needs of our customers.
To mark our one-year birthday, we’re celebrating in style – by welcoming two additional embroidery machines to the team! This will triple our production capacity, helping us scale up and support our customers even more effectively. We’ll be officially introducing them later this month, so keep an eye out!
Sustainability and Innovation
We’re also investing in our future. Amita has just started the ESTU Sustainability course, which will help us strengthen our journey toward becoming a more environmentally responsible business – a journey we began a few years ago and are deeply passionate about. We hope to empower other businesses to embrace sustainability too, with minimal effort on their part.
I’ve also embarked on an 18-month apprenticeship in innovation and leadership, focused on service design and leading the company into the future with fresh ideas and purposeful direction.
Looking Ahead
And we’re just getting started. There are plenty of exciting projects in the pipeline here at Theobalds, Broxbourne, and across Hertfordshire. We're also exploring apprenticeship opportunities of our own, to bring new talent into the business.
Here’s to an amazing first year – and an even more exciting second one. We’d love for you to be part of our journey!
